Resulting from the limekiln in calcareous areas in the Designation of Origin Toro. Old goblet vineyards add antiquity and character to a wine made by manual harvesting, rigorous selection respecting both the terroir and the 100% variety of Tinta de Toro. After 18 months in new French oak barrels and 48 months in bottle, they have reached their maximum potential and fullness.
Visual Phase: In the visual phase it is a very intense dark cherry red colour. Bright and clean.
Smelling phase: The nose offers great intensity and complexity. Black fruit in preserve, fine toasted touches from the oak, spices, menthol, minerals and thyme.
Tasting Phase: In the mouth it is thick and unctuous, with ripe, oily and well-polished tannins. Subtle and elegant on entry, incredible evolution in the mouth with great varietal expression. Balmy, mineral and spicy tones blend with the tobaccos and fine chocolate of long ageing in new oak. Long after-taste of great intensity.
